Don’t Make Your Flip a Flop

Flipping is a term used for buying a property to renovate it with the purpose of selling it with a profit.

If you’re new to the flipping game, we’re here to give you some first time flippers’ advice.

1. Don’t Be Overwhelmed

No matter the state of the property purchased, make sure you consider experts’ advice from people who have done it before. Flipping might be a grueling process but it sure isn’t impossible.

2. Baby Steps

Assess your property thoroughly. You never know, you might even need to demolish it all to the ground. Keep a track of the renovation requirements of every space and asses your options properly.

3. Keep An Open Mind

If you’re not great with a screw and a hammer yourself, make sure to get the right people to do the job for you. Clearly communicate your requirements and follow up frequently to make sure your vision is coming through.

4. Careful Helpful

Who wouldn’t want to cut some labor cost? Just make sure you keep it for simple and straightforward jobs that don’t require high craftsmanship or a complicated process.

5. Trial & Error

If you’re unsure about anything during the process, don’t shy away from testing and trying. Spending a tad extra at the beginning is far better than having an end result you’re not satisfied with.

6. CIY is the new DIY

If you hired a handyman to do the job for you, make sure you check it yourself and you’re happy with the outcome. Try things out and make sure they’re functioning properly.

7. Make It A Home

Many assume buyers would prefer a plain house so they can bring their own touch, while that may be true, you always need to reflect on the potential of the place and what its spaces can turn out to be.

8. Add a Personal Touch

At the end of the day, you’re offering a space for a potential new life. Show buyers how habitable the house can be by adding a few plants and accessories around the place.
